Interesting Game Play with Headsets

One of the first and most popular games to use this feature was Counter Strike. This is a game that has been out since 1999 and it’s actually still quite popular today. It’s basically a first person shoot that is tactical and it’s counter terrorists against terrorists. Each game is different and sometimes you’re target is to protect hostages, where as other times you have to go in and save them. Obviously a game like this requires a lot of teamwork and tactical play. You need to be able to talk to your teammates in a real time manner if you plan on succeeding.

Another similar game that I like to play is Day of Defeat, which is basically a World War 2 game. This is a lot more strategic than Counter Strike. You have to get on your headset and tell people that you need a medic when you’re injured. When you’re storming the beaches, you have to take out gunners and things of this nature.

Obviously you’re going to learn that the game play in first person shooters is much more reliant on in voice talking, but I’m sure there are a lot of games that you need to start using a microphone in. Being able to talk is really important to any game that requires you to have strategies and things of that nature. You definitely should get a computer headset because it is fun to use.
