Logitech Wireless USB Headset

I thought I should take a little time to talk to you about the Logitech ClearChat Wireless headset. I think this is probably about the best type of headset that you can get on the market that is wireless. It has both earphones for you to hear what you want and it also has a microphone for you to talk. So this is a device that becomes quite useful when you need to do voice chat like on Skype or in a computer game.

I want to emphasize how important the 'ClearChat' is on this particular headset. If you haven't had the chance to try out other wireless headsets on the market, they have real issues with tack back (or an echo). And that's a huge problem with using your microphone to make calls and do things like that. It really comes down to getting much more out of your headset.

I've had the chance to use quite a few wireless USB headsets and in that time I've had a chance to see what is really offered on the market and what normally people get out of such things. The quality is pretty good on this particular headset and I think that is really what makes the Logitech ClearChat stand out from the rest on the market.

Logitech Wireless USB Headset Review

I thought what I could do is give you a little break down of the positives and negatives that I noticed about this product. I'm going to be completely honest with you, so you can make the best decision you possibly can on what you're looking to buy.

Pros:

  • The audio quality is great and it's something you can use for Skype calls or if you just want to listen to your favorite music.
  • There is no echo when you're using your microphone (no talk back).
  • Has a great level of volume, which is rare in other headsets.
  • The headset fits comfortably on my head and is easy on my ears.
  • Controlling the volume is a relatively simple process.
  • I got around 40 feet of wireless range, which is better than the specifications list.

Cons:

  • I wish the wireless range was a little longer. It meets specification, but I still wish I could get more distance out of it.
  • The headphones can be a little hard on the ears after many hours of use. I use the computer a lot, so it can start to hurt the ears after long periods of time.

That is the way that I looked at it and I think I gave it a fair look. There are definitely more positives and negatives. The negatives are not really that important for me though. When you compare it to the other headsets on the market, I would view it as the best wireless USB headset. So I would give it a ranking of 4.5 Stars out of 5.
